We restricted our play-off chasing hosts to a single goal knocked home from close range midway through the second half but never gave their ‘keeper much in the way of a test as our scoreless run was extended to 5 games. So all that is left in our remaining 3 games is the hope that we can pick up enough points to avoid being rock bottom. Unfortunately we dropped to 21st today as Concord finally overtook us on goal difference with a 3-2 win at Hashtag United. MIDWEEK UPDATE on Tuesday 16th we visited Potters Bar Town and as usual left empty handed BUT we broke our 5 match scoring drought with a GOAL albeit not until the 90th minute. Unfortuntely by then "The Scholars" had found our net once in each half. Kingstonian lost their midweek game so if we win when we visit them this coming Saturday we will definitely avoid finishing bottom of the Division as we say goodbye - hopefully just for a year - to our Step 3 Status).............. on FRIDAY 12th THE UNDER 23s wrapped up their season with their final League game at home to Aveley Under 23s and came out on top by 5-1 and will finish 3rd,, in this their first season in the Essex Alliance .................on Sunday 14th THE WOMEN played their last home game of the season and after ltheir superb win at Bedford last week visitors Stevenage soon brought them back to earth with a first minute goal direct from a free-kick and after Borough had fought back from 1-3 to lead 4-3 scored an equaliser in the last minute again from a free- kick. Borough also scored a goal direct from a free kick but their hope of hanging on to the runners up spotwill be keen to take all three points to maintain their chance of securing the runners up spot was badly dented. They now know that their Capital Womens Senior Cup Final opponents will be Ashford Town (Middlesex) who beat AFC Wimbledon, in a penalty shoot-out in their delayed semi-final last Sunday. The Final will be played on the ground of Hendon FC - Silver Jubilee Park, Kingbury, NW9 7NE - on Thursday 2nd May at 7.30pm. ================================ USEFUL CONTACTS
