| Game Notes | Three first half goals settled what was Borough’s 18th game undefeated. Anthony McDonald was put through by Darrell Cox in the 14th minute for a close range finish although there did seem to have been a suspicion of offside which was not given. In the 23rd minute a sweeping move enabled Dean Fenton to pick his spot from close range. In the 32nd minute it was three thanks to a thunderous free kick from Fenton from some 20 yards out and to the right of the penalty box. The visitors displayed some fine approach play early on but were obviously deflated by the three Borough goals and never gave Borough ‘keeper Ashley Harris any cause for concern. The less said about Borough’s second half performance the better. So many gilt edged chances were missed – in some cases missing seemed almost impossible – that there will be weeping if goal difference comes into play at the end of the season. Credit is due to Hamlets who upped their game but although they enjoyed around equal possession they created only one clear cut opportunity which they too missed.
