Game Notes | Borough turned in a convincing performance against visiting AFC Hayes of the Evo-Stik League South Division One Central and their 3-1 win was well deserved. Borough were particularly dominant in the first half and Dewayne Clarke’s long shot gave them an early lead, although the visiting goalkeeper will probably think he should have dealt with it better. Chris Benjamin added a second midway through the half when a corner produced a goal mouth scramble. The second half was more even but the Borough defence showed they could repel pressure when tested. A fine flowing move resulted in the best goal of the match when Roland Namquita finished clinically for Borough’s third. A clumsy challenge on the edge of the area gifted the visitors an injury time consolation from the spot.
