| Game Notes | Borough started with exactly the same line up as at Tring on Saturday save for one of the substitutes.
They took an 8th minute lead when visiting defender Michael Noble slashed at a low cross from the left which arced up wickedly and spun into the far top corner of his own net. The opening twenty minutes were fairly even with neither side creating any gilt edged openings and Broxbourne had already sent in some dangerouc corners before one from the right in the 28th minute brought the equaliser as Rob Kemble although well challenged jumped well to meet it
some six yards out and powered it home. The presence of ex Borough Youth team regular Bradley Drisdale in the Broxbourne line up added interest to the game and he has certainly lost none of his speed since leaving us - it would have been interesting to see a race between the two Number 7's as our Karl Lewis is also no slouch! The visitors line up also included much travelled Lloyd Opara who numbers Peterborough among his previous Clubs and he held the ball well in tight situations and released some astute passes. Generally though, play became rather scrappy with Broxbourne creating the greater number of opportunities in the second half, while we never succeeded in testing the mettle of the visitors keeper, and for that reason probably deserved their winner at the start of injury time. A minor flare up well into the Broxbourne half led to a delay of some length and a loss of concentration which proved fatal as the match was restarted with a free kick lofted into Borough's penalty area and with three attackers closing in for the kill 'keeper Dan White had no chance as Daniel Ward hooked it home to render the likely looking extra 30 minutes play unnecessary.
