Game NotesAfter their weather enforced two weeks of inactivity Borough siezed the initiative right from the start and never looked likely to be anything other than comfortable winners against their mid-table opponents. Borough had already gone close twice before taking the lead in the 14th minute when Andy Stokes got his head to a corner which a defender could only deflect into the net. Borough continued to dominate and doubled their lead when Ronardson Obinna successfully timed his run to beat the offside trap leaving himself completely in the clear to run on and sidefoot the ball low and confidently past the oncoming keeper. There had been a few worrying moments of indecisiveness in the Borough defence which had given the visitors the opportunity to threaten but they never created more than half chances which they were unable to convert. Borough continued to make the greater number of openings but were not quite able to finish some fine moves and the visiting 'keeper pulled off some good stops. Early in the second half both sides were reduced to ten men following a flare up but it made little difference to the pattern of the game and Borough virtually ended the contest in the 52nd minute as Obinna scored his second following some determined battling through the middle to create the opening. Although Brache quickly reduced the arrears when Daniel White raced to the edge of his area but was beaten to the ball leaving Darren Edwards an easy task to net, a Brache come-back never looked on the cards and in the 64th minute the hard working Melvin Thompson who had been prominent throughout as Borough's outstanding creative midfield force finished clinically. Chima Obiji who had led the line well burst through only to plant his low shot inches wide of the post after doing the hard work. Four minutes from time Daniel Ailey and Karl Lewis engineered the opportunity for Obinna to complete his hat-trick which he duly did by knocking the ball into the corner from close range.
