Game Notes | The early stages soon revealed that the game was unlikely to be a goal feast - and so it proved with neither defence inclined to allow their opponents more than a half chance. The 0-0 score at the interval was a fair reflection on the proceedings. Luke Kavanagh had headed home but from an off-side position. The game did open up a little in the second half and Andy Stokes had a header from a corner just tipped over. In the 68th minute Borough made the vital breakthrough as Chima Obiji closed in from the right to finish confidently with a clinical low cross shot in the 68th minute. Borough looked likely to sieze control for a few minutes afterwards and the visiting keeper saved well from Adeniyi Adedeji's powerful header. However, Stony Stratford forced themselves back into the game and a powerful run in from the left brough a fine blocking save from Edison Brahimi but the ball fell kindly for Barry bellhouse only a few yards out and he was able to blast it high into the net unchallenged in the 82nd minute. Neither goal was seriously threatened in the remaining period.
