Game NotesThe Borough had to settle for a 0-0 draw after a superb performance from the Colney Heath goalkeeper and a bad tempered match that saw both teams go down to 10 men in the first half.

The hotly contested match saw various bookings as well as the two dismissals as both teams gave away numerous free kicks thanks to late and rash challenges.

Haringey started the brightest and had two good early chances. A long ball from 'keeper Erbil Bozkurt found Roland Namquita on the left wing. He did well to get the ball across to Christopher Benjamin, but he couldn't get the definitive touch to steer the ball goalwards.

Soon after Borough had the ball in the back of the net after a Dean Fenton free kick was turned in after a scramble in the box, but it was adjudged offside.

Colney got their first chance of the game from a corner when Josh Humbert was offered a free header but he couldn't get it on target.

After the early exchanges the game looked in danger of becoming a vicious encounter after the referee had to take players from both clubs aside for a talking to. In the end this did little to calm the game and after series of late tackles it boiled over in the 25th minute.

A wild tackle by Charlie Moxon lead to all 22 players rushing into the centre circle and squaring off. Moxon was shown the red card for the tackle while Darrell Cox was also sent off for sending a Colney player sprawling in the initial confrontation.

Towards the end of the half both teams wasted chances with Colney failing to convert a floated free kick into the box. Borough also had a chance to take the lead when Andreas Loizou fed Namquita who managed to take the ball past two defenders, but his shot was tame and straight at the keeper.

Haringey started the second half brightly when Dewayne Clarke turned his defender on the edge of the area and took a shot from outside of the area but it dropped just wide of the near post. Namquita then did the same moments later but his shot also didn't test the 'keeper.

As the second half wore on Colney struggled to get the ball out of their half and resorted to trying their luck with long balls up to Kyle Rowell. But Joe O'Cearuill and Rickelle Christian were aware at the back while Bozkurt was often quickly off his line to claim loose balls forward.

But Borough had the best chances of the half and soon after the break it took a header off the line by Richard Cooke after Fenton floated a free kick into the box.

On the 60th minute Haringey came forward in numbers and had time and space but took too long to choose an option and had to resort to a shot from outside of the area which didn't test the keeper.

A few minutes later Clarke was found on his own on the right side of the area but his side foot shot bobbled just past the left hand post.

Haringey started to commit more players forward and were only denied a spectacular winner by a fantastic save from Colney 'keeper Jamie Jackson. Substitute Patou Katshenge released a scorching shot from outside the area which looked destined for the top left corner, but Jackson got just enough on it to tip it over the bar.

Jackson was again to Colney's rescue when Loizou made a good run forward and fed the ball to Namquita who then laid off the ball to Stephen Obeng in the area. Obeng had time and space and got a shot off quickly but Jackson made a good save down to his left.

Borough had their last clear cut chance on the 85th minute when a Namquita ran onto a ball in the area but Jackson made a smart save and when Namquita got to the rebound his follow up shot struck the bottom of the left hand post and went wide.
