| Game Notes | After our fine opening performance last Tuesdays against Potters Bar Town it was a little disappointing that we looked less assured at the back in the first half against visiting Enfield (1893) and fell behind after only a few minutes play to a sloppy goal when Nick Chritofi’s clearance kick from a back bass ricocheted off Wayne Grant (briefly a player of ours a few seasons ago) and trundled into the empty net. We were unlucky midway through the half when a powerful drive crashed back off the bar but Nick did well to get down to his left to push away a goalbound effort and early in the second half pulled off a flying save to his right to keep us in the game. A fine equalizer, very similar to our goal against Potters Bar Town engineered by Lloyd Opara’s sortie down the right ending in a low cut back, saw Melvin Thompson-Klass drive the ball home low and hard but shortly afterwards Enfield’s Andy Williams netted a fine individual goal for what was to be the winner although Borough somehow fluffed a glorious chance of an equalizer in the closing minutes.
